Monkey see, monkey chew

Today’s Lab Rats of Obesity: Furry Couch Potatoes

Is it inhumane to feed monkeys the same we feed our children? The topic of animal testing can prove bewildering but an important question to ask is what's at task for scientists of nutrition. Probably 2/3rds of Americans are wishing their belt size could match lies stocking a researcher's kitchen. When subjects omit how many calories they commit to their love handles, the science is diminished. And before that last french fry is finished, our understanding of obesity lies in shambles. Is it ethical to make monkeys fur-covered chunkies in order to understand why we're sugar junkies? Until research can refine the amount of time we spend chewing the facts just to cover our backs, alternatives run slim. Doesn't that just make you want to stay trim, join a gym, take a swim, or switch to skim?
